Perpify, a perp prop firm launched in October 2026, says Kraken backs it, but Kraken runs its own competing prop firm and has never named Perpify. Until Perpify shows proof of the Kraken deal and a traceable payout wallet, I would not buy an account.
Perpify went live in mid-October 2026 and spent its first ten days posting record payout numbers, attacking rival firms and hiring an influencer it had banned the day before. Most of the coverage so far is screenshots and threads. This page checks each of Perpify’s big claims against a public record you can open yourself.
Is Perpify legit?
Perpify is a working website that takes payment for simulated prop accounts, so it is a real business. Its three biggest trust claims (Kraken backing, payout volume and launch rules) do not match the public record. A firm can exist and still not be credible.
That split matters more than the word “scam.” I can’t prove what Perpify intends. I can show where its claims and the evidence disagree, as of October 26, 2026.
Perpify is backed by Kraken the way I’m backed by Google. I have a Search Console account.
Perpify red flags
Perpify says Kraken backs it. Kraken has never said so. Kraken runs its own competing prop firm, Kraken Prop, launched May 27, 2026. No Kraken channel mentions Perpify.
Perpify claimed $3,117,029 paid out in one day, four days after its domain was registered. Propr, an established crypto prop firm, paid $1,045,103 in all of September 2026.
Propr’s founder accuses Perpify of showing Propr’s payouts as its own. Traders shared transactions they say match Propr payouts dated before Perpify existed.
Perpify says it pays in USDC on Solana but has published no Solana wallet matching its totals. On-chain payouts are public, so the proof would take one link.
perpify.co was registered on October 15, 2026. Perpify has told critics it has existed since October 2025.
The launch post sold 100x leverage from $39. The live site now says 15x, from $50, with a daily loss limit and a one-minute minimum hold for payout-eligible trades.
Perpify banned Lanto as an affiliate on October 24, 2026, then named him CMO on October 25. The ban was over how he presented payout results.
I’m an SEO consultant for trading and finance companies, including prop firms, brokers and fintech vendors. This research comes from reading Perpify’s site, its X posts and the public records behind them directly, not from other reviews. Every red flag above links to a source in the sections below.
Is Perpify backed by Kraken?
Perpify’s claim that Kraken backs it has no confirmation from Kraken. Perpify’s own X bio calls the firm a perpetuals platform backed by Kraken, but Kraken has published no partnership, investment or announcement naming Perpify.
Perpify repeated the claim in posts on October 18, October 19 and October 22, 2026. The October 19 post used the Kraken name to explain why its payouts are fast.
Kraken already owns a prop firm, which makes a Kraken investment in Perpify hard to believe. Kraken Prop launched on May 27, 2026, operated by Payward Oceanic Ltd, a Kraken subsidiary, and built on Breakout, the crypto prop firm Kraken acquired in 2025. The Kraken Prop page sells its own evaluations inside Kraken Pro and pays traders into Kraken accounts.
So Perpify is asking traders to believe that Kraken funds a direct competitor to its own five-month-old prop product, and told nobody. That is possible. It is also the kind of claim a real partner would want on its own blog on day one.
Prop firm tracking accounts on X have reported that Kraken denies any partnership, agreement or affiliation with Perpify and is looking into the use of its name and logo. I have not found that statement on any Kraken channel, so treat it as reported, not confirmed. The fact that stands on its own is simpler: the only party claiming the deal is Perpify.
When did Perpify launch?
Perpify’s website domain, perpify.co, was registered on October 15, 2026 through GoDaddy, with owner details hidden. Perpify’s pinned introduction post on X is dated October 16, 2026. The firm was about ten days old when this page was written.
Perpify has replied to critics that it has existed since October 2025 and renewed a domain. The registration record does not show a renewal. It shows a new registration with an expiry date one year out, which is what a first-time registration looks like.
Ten days is not proof of anything bad. Every firm starts somewhere, and new launches get stress-tested fast, as Papertrade found out on day one. It does mean Perpify has no payout history long enough to check, which makes the next section important.
Perpify payout claims vs Propr’s published payouts
Perpify’s October 19, 2026 post claims $3,117,029 paid to traders in a single day. For scale, Propr, which calls itself the second-largest crypto prop firm, reported $1,045,103 across 2,526 payouts for the whole of September 2026.
Perpify’s claimed single day is about three times Propr’s full month. It is also close to everything Propr has paid since payoutflow began tracking it on-chain, $3,292,859 as of October 26, 2026. A firm that was four days old by its domain record would have to have sold a very large number of accounts, and had them pass and get paid, in under a week.
Propr’s founder, Lou, has publicly accused Perpify of presenting Propr’s own payout history as Perpify’s, and traders have shared transaction links they say match Propr payouts dated before Perpify existed. I have not matched those transactions myself, so this is an accusation, not a finding.
There is a cleaner test that needs no screenshots, and it is the same one I used to check which prop firms actually pay on-chain. Perpify’s website says approved payouts are paid in USDC on Solana. Solana transactions are public. If Perpify paid $3.1 million in a day, a Solana wallet holds that record, and Perpify can publish the address. A payout wallet on a different chain, or none at all, would answer the question too.
Does Perpify use real money or simulated accounts?
Perpify accounts are simulated. Perpify’s own FAQ says account balances and trades are not live funds, the account fee is a real payment for program access, and approved payouts are paid in USDC on Solana.
That is normal for perp prop firms. Kraken Prop works the same way, and most crypto prop firms price simulated fills from a live exchange, which is why not every Hyperliquid prop firm is actually on-chain. A funded account is not real firm capital at most prop firms. Simulated accounts are not the issue. The issue is the gap between a simulated product and marketing that leans on an exchange’s name. “Backed by Kraken” next to a simulated account suggests Kraken capital sits behind your trades. Nothing on Perpify’s site says that, and the FAQ says the opposite.
What a trader pays
A real account fee, from $50 for a Precision or Standard evaluation or $200 for an Instant account, per Perpify’s site.
What a trader trades
A simulated balance from $5,000 to $100,000. No live funds, no Kraken capital.
Perpify rules: launch posts vs the live site
Perpify’s rules changed within days of launch. The October 18, 2026 launch post advertised up to 100x leverage with accounts starting at $39. Perpify’s live site now lists leverage up to 15x and evaluations from $50.
| Rule | Launch marketing (Oct 18, 2026) | Live site (Oct 26, 2026) |
|---|---|---|
| Max leverage | Up to 100x | Up to 15x |
| Cheapest account | $39 | $50 evaluation, $200 Instant |
| Daily loss limit | Not mentioned in launch post | Applies where listed, resets 6:00 PM ET |
| Short trades | Not mentioned in launch post | Profits from trades held under one minute are not payout-eligible |
| Hedging and bots | Not mentioned in launch post | Prohibited (see how prop firms police hedging) |
Firms tighten rules all the time, and a 15x cap is more sensible than 100x. What matters is who the change applies to. A rule change should apply to accounts bought after the change. Perpify’s FAQ says payouts follow “your purchased terms,” which is the right principle.
Traders on X have posted that rules shifted on accounts they had already bought, including a lower profit split, a new daily loss limit and free promo accounts being closed. If you hold a Perpify account, screenshot your checkout page and the rules you bought under now. That record is your leverage in any payout dispute.
Lanto and Perpify: affiliate ban, then CMO
Lanto (@lanto_trades) is a day trader and prop firm influencer who posts large payouts. On October 24, 2026, Lanto posted a net take of about $53,000 after expenses and said he held 819 accounts. His October summary listed $424,816 in prop firm payouts against $356,775 in prop firm expenses.
Run the numbers and the headline payouts shrink fast. $424,816 minus $356,775 is $68,041 in trading profit for the month, across hundreds of paid accounts. That gap between the payout screenshot and the net result is what drew the criticism.
819 accounts for $68,041. There are cheaper ways to buy a payout screenshot.
Perpify then made two moves a day apart. On October 24, 2026, it posted that it was removing Lanto as an affiliate, calling his conduct unacceptable and saying it did not want him representing the brand. On October 25, it announced Lanto as its Chief Marketing Officer. Vest Markets also reportedly ended Lanto’s affiliate deal over the same disclosure issue.
Perpify said it didn’t want him representing the brand. Now he runs the brand’s marketing.
Either the ban post was theatre or the CMO post is. Neither option helps the Kraken claim.
How to check a perp prop firm’s “backed by” claim
A “backed by” claim is only as good as the backer’s own confirmation. Before paying for any perp prop firm account that names an exchange, investor or partner, run these checks. Each takes under five minutes.
- Search the backer’s own blog, press page and X account for the firm’s name. A real deal gets announced by both sides.
- Check whether the backer runs a competing product. Kraken runs Kraken Prop, which makes a quiet Kraken investment in a rival hard to believe.
- Look up the domain registration date and compare it with any “founded in” claim.
- Find the chain the firm says it pays on, then ask for the payout wallet. Totals you can’t trace on that chain are marketing.
- Compare claimed payout totals with firms that publish on-chain numbers, such as Propr on payoutflow.
- Screenshot the rules at checkout. Rules you can prove you bought under are the only rules you can enforce.
Not the same Perpify: perpify.trade is a separate site describing a 24/7 perpetual futures venue for US equities. No public source links it to the perpify.co prop firm. Don’t mix them up when you search.
FAQs about Perpify
Is Perpify a scam?
Perpify’s Kraken backing claim has no confirmation from Kraken, its claimed one-day payout total is larger than Propr’s whole month, and its rules changed after launch. I would not buy a Perpify account until Perpify publishes proof of the Kraken deal and a Solana payout wallet with matching totals.
Is Perpify the same as Kraken Prop?
No. Kraken Prop is Kraken’s own prop program, operated by Payward Oceanic Ltd inside Kraken Pro. Perpify is a separate firm at perpify.co.
Is perpify.trade the same company as perpify.co?
perpify.trade describes a different product, a 24/7 perpetual futures venue for US equities. No public source links it to the perpify.co prop firm.
How does Perpify pay traders?
Perpify’s site says approved payouts are paid in USDC on Solana. Account balances and trades are simulated.
What leverage does Perpify offer?
Perpify’s live site lists leverage up to 15x. Its October 18, 2026 launch post advertised up to 100x.
Run a prop firm? Make your trust claims checkable
Traders now check partner claims, domain age and payout wallets before they buy, and review sites often outrank firms for their own brand name. I review prop firm sites and fix the trust pages that searchers land on.
