Content and Copy Written by a Prop Firm Content Specialist, Not a Generalist
A challenge is not an account and a drawdown rule is not a fee. Most of my writing work is as a prop firm content specialist, covering prop firms and the brokers and vendors around them, though I take on other finance clients too. Traders pick up a wrong detail fast, and it costs you trust before it costs you a sale.
Real Search Console positions for this page, 16 months to September 2026. Low volume across the board, typical for a service page competing on generalist copywriter terms.
volume still building
A top-three page can still earn nothing
SEO copywriting for finance and trading is not the same job as writing the page. Whether a page gets clicked depends mostly on whether a settled answer to the query already exists. Where one does, Google shows it and the searcher stops. Where none does, they have to open something. That matters more than position.
| Page | Impressions | Clicks | Position | CTR |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Highest Dow Jones ever | 21,084 | 21 | 13.6 | 0.1% |
| Funded gambling account | Similar | ~40x higher rate | Similar | ~4% |
Same site, similar positions. Highest Dow Jones ever resolves to a number, the number gets shown, and nobody needs the page. A funded gambling account is new enough that no settled answer exists, so people open the page at roughly forty times the rate. It is not a writing quality gap.
Titles matter more than most pages admit
When an answer already sits above your result, the snippet is your whole pitch. The test: cover the AI answer, read your title, and ask what it promises that the answer did not. If the honest reply is nothing, the title is the problem before the content is.
Citations and clicks are not the same goal
A page written to be quoted cleanly is easy to summarise, and a page that is easy to summarise is easy to skip. Decide which job a page is doing before writing it, then measure it against the right number.
If you are not sure copy is the problem
Sometimes it is not. If the wrong pages rank, or the structure looks like the issue rather than the sentences, start with an audit. I would rather tell you that than take a brief that will not help.
What a copywriting engagement covers
Offer and landing pages
The pages a trader reads right before paying for a challenge, written to make the rules clear and the value obvious.
Rules and policy pages
Drawdown, payout and consistency rules explained plainly, since the confusing version is what kills a sale after the click.
Editorial and SEO content
Content built to rank and get cited, sitting alongside the SEO work rather than separate from it.
SEO work for prop firms →Email sequences
Onboarding, payout and win-back sequences written for traders who are already wary of overselling.
Brand and positioning
The language a firm uses consistently across its own site and the places it gets quoted.
B2B and vendor copy
Copy for the payment, liquidity and platform vendors selling into brokers and prop firms.
fintech marketing →A prop firm content specialist, not a generalist writer
A prop firm content writer has to know the product before the sentence. Most writers can make a page read well. Far fewer know why a trader reads the payout terms twice before paying, or which line in a rulebook is the one that kills the sale.
Most of my copywriting work is for prop firms, so the copy starts from how challenges, funded accounts, drawdown and payouts actually work, not from a template. That depth carries over to other fintech and finance-adjacent clients too.

Send the brief
The page or the brief, whatever compliance will not allow, and whatever you already know about where it is falling short.
Scope and a fixed price
I come back with scope and a fixed price before starting, so there is no open-ended billing to worry about.
Drafts with the reasoning attached
So you can argue with the decision rather than just the wording. Two rounds of revisions are included. If a fact cannot be checked, I flag it rather than smooth over it.
What people ask before starting
Yes. Most of my writing work is for prop firms, forex and CFD brokers, and the vendors selling into them, so I bring that depth as a specialist rather than a generalist taking trading clients between other work. I also write for other fintech and finance-adjacent clients. Either way, the copy is accurate on rules, payouts and platforms without a long briefing.
Tell me what it is meant to do and where you think it is falling short
I will come back with what I would change, a fixed price and a timeline.
